Please shower before your appointment. If you aren't able to, we have baby wipes to freshen up.
Hair must be a quarter of an inch (about 10-14 days of growth) or the size of a grain of rice.
Come back every 3-4 weeks to maintain instead of shaving. This will make each visit more comfortable, as the follicle weakens and the hair grows in finer.
Gently exfoliate the night before or take a warm bath to prep the skin before your wax. Having a warm bath or shower before your wax can soften your skin allowing for easier hair removal. We also recommend exfoliation the night before as this removes dead skin build up around and in the follicle again aiding in easier and more thorough removal. We suggest gently dry brushing OR using a gentle exfoliating scrub or acne cleanser.
Relax. It won't be that bad! And will be over before you know it. The hard wax and technique will be a much better experience versus a soft / strip wax you may have had in the past.
Advil if you must. if you’re concerned about the potential for pain, take a couple of advil 20 minutes before your appointment. Some clients feel this takes the edge off. Avoid alcohol or being highly caffeinated, as this will increase your sensitivity.
DO NOT BOOK if you are using Retin-A, or any retinol products as it will make your skin much more sensitive during waxing. Contraindications are in waiver, which must be completed prior to visit.
